Andrea earned her Master's Degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009. For the next 7 years, she worked with older adults in long term care communities in the Chicagoland region. She also taught courses in the Humanities, Psychology, and Sociology at a small Chicago based college from 2009-2013.

Andrea returned to her hometown of a Buffalo in 2016 to take a position with the Western NY chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. As Dementia Education Specialist, Andrea travels around the 8 counties of Western NY educating family caregivers, professionals, and the general public about dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, and best practices for care. She also oversees Memories in the Making, a watercolor painting group for people with dementia. Andrea also helps man the Alzheimer's Association's 24/7 Helpline, answering questions, sharing caregiving techniques, providing referrals, and offering support.
